– John A. Andreini passed away in 2018 at the respectable age of 92 years old. He was the son of an Italian immigrant and left an immense footprint; John Andreini's Ranch.
John (Giovanni) A. Andreini was a remarkable man. He was an entrepreneur who's positive vision and enthusiasm had a monumental, inspiring impact. Together with his wife Linda, he purchased the ranch back the day in 1987 and established the ranch in name of his brand in 1988.
Next to the breath taking Diablo Mountain range of California's North Central coast area, the JL ranch became a highly complete and versatile outfit. Graze land, fenced pastures, covered and open horse corrals and pens, barn, indoor stalls, vet facility/breeding facility, hot walkers, a race track and a roping arena and other features are included in this impressive ranch.
Besides the equine facilities, the ranch offers facilities for handling and breeding cattle.
A complete log house was built for the ranch manager / head of training. Of course at the property, other dwellings for ranch hands, and staff are foreseen.
Andreini's luxury home and gardens include a swimming pool and is situated at a slight elevation above the facilities and other sites on the ranch.
The most important featuere that was added by John Andreini, was the indelible reputation.
John himself became a highly inspiring captain of the racing industry. Besides his keen talent for breeding, he was a highly inspirational leader. He was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the California Horse Racing Board.
John Andreini was also an active member of the AQHA horse racing committee and racing council. He was also Board of Director Emeritus member of the Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Racing Association (PCQHRA).
He became an important industry member at Los Alamitos race track, and was partner in Ruidoso Downs in New Mexico, where even a scholarship program still today is named after him.
This outfit was highly respected for training and breeding race horses. As a working Quarter Horse ranch; it became a reference in the industry.
Seldom has someone turned ranch land in such a fruitful industry landmark—in such a relatively short period. In between 1988 and 2018, the ranch became a cornerstone of the industry.
John could rely on ranch manager and head of training Danny Cardoza, AQHA Hall of Fame Jockey.
